Sony Noise Canceling Earbuds
Posted on: August 24, 2011
Announced at CES 2010, Sony's MDR-NC300D noise canceling earbuds claim to be capable of cutting out a massive 98.4% of external unwanted sounds, due to the use of the same technology found in their "over the ear" headphones, Sony's MDR-NC500D.
Claiming to be the worlds first ever "in ear" noise canceling headphones, they sport three specific noise cancelation mode settings; trains/buses/cars, airplanes and offices/study room, and use only a single AA cell battery to power the cancelation for up to 20 hours. http://www.pocket-lint.com/news/26778/sony-launches-mdr-nc300d-in-ear-headphones

IFA 2009 MDR-NC300D Demonstration
This is a demo video from the UK IFA in 2009 where these Sony noise cancelation earbuds were launched into the European market. The demonstrator goes on to show the microphones located on the back of the earbuds. These pick up the sounds around you and assist the unit in choosing which noise cancelation mode it needs to be in, to make your audio experience the best it can be. He also demonstrates the manual selected settings for movie, bass and normal modes for the type of audio you require. He goes on to talk about the built in amplifier now fitted into something as pocket sized as this.
